ABOUT US
The original school in Sourin was built in 1872. In 1960 the school transferred to its present site. It was extended in 1984 to incorporate a community wing. The school has recently undergone major refurbishment, including the addition of a new preschool room, staff room, sick bay and healthy living centre.  The present school serves the islands of Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre.

ECO SCHOOL
Rousay School has received the Silver Award in recognition of ongoing achievement towards a sustainable lifestyle.   We are now working towards our Green Flag.  P4-7 have set up a Woodland Diary blog to explore the bio diversity in their local area.  Ann Chapman and John Vetterlein have been actively involved in  this project.  Click the following link to view our blog page.
